Disbursement Analyst

Description of the Department:

The Global Business Services (GBS) team is an organization established within Boston Scientific designed to reduce cost, provide value through reporting and improve the efficiency of key business processes by taking opportunities to drive standardization, leverage resources, knowledge and skills and monitor the effectiveness of service delivery against benchmarks and service level agreements.

Description of the Role:

In this role you will be responsible for Accounts Payable processes related to payments. These activities are focused around handling the automated and manual payments, vendor master queries, internal and external audit queries, bank account reconciliation, bank access management and control.

All activities need to be performed timely and accurately as all GBS activities are performed on strict SLA times. The activities will require working together and building business relationships with a variety of customers, stakeholders and relevant support functions.

The work will be performed in a small team where a lot of interaction is required to ensure all activities are done timely, with highest quality and attention to details.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and audit manual payments for EMEA region following the GBS payments process and global authorization policy. Ensures all activities are completed in compliance with BSC policies and procedures, ensure all desktop procedures are up to date.
• Coordinate bank accesses related queries on behalf of EMEA Disbursement, perform quarterly SOX controls related to bank accesses review.
• Provide training and support to other teams on payments process.
• Ensure up to date process documentation related to Payments process.
• Assist with all external and internal audit requests related to payment and banking area.
• Analyze and improve business operations across the payment process, conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement. Work collaboratively with other teams to implement process improvements and automation solutions.
• Applying LEAN methodology in practice. Log, maintain and drive till resolution Value Improvement ideas.

Requirements:

• SAP ERP User (FI module)
• Experience with PTP processes
• Experience with payment platform
• Experience within a Shared Service Centre (Finance-related) environment
• Fluent English (Verbal & Written) and any other language nice to have
