About the role:

The Principal Financial Analyst Role will be responsible for supporting the US Distribution Network and Global Logistic Support.  Additionally, this role will also be a key support to the Global Supply Chain programs designed to optimize the supply chain of Boston Scientific. This role will collaborate cross functionally with business partners at the site and network and corporate functions with a goal optimize financial planning, reporting and analysis. This candidate will perform financial analysis and controls, utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques and recommend alternative courses of action as needed to the stakeholders.

 

Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. This role must work hybrid from our Quincy or Marlborough, MA offices.

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Partner independently with the site function managers and corporate business partners 
  • Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information 
  • Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports 
  • Prepare and distribute financial metric packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance 
  • Perform financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools and creative problem solving 
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level 
  • Develop and utilize sound financial processes and maintain effective control environment 

  

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a related role
  • 3+ years of financial analysis experience 
  • Experience utilizing technical skills and programs such as; modeling, macros, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines, attention to detail 
  • Strong customer relationship skills with strong service orientation 
  • Holds self-accountable to a performance metric culture building performance excellence 

  

Preferred qualifications: 

  • CPA and/or MBA 
  • Experience in Hyperion, SAP

Maximum Salary: $197000 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
