About the role:
The Tax Analyst II position presents an outstanding opportunity for a career minded individual to increase their tax, systems, and product knowledge in the rapidly expanding med-tech industry and be part of a growing international team. The Analyst II will fill a key role on our US indirect tax team, helping the company meet its Indirect Tax reporting requirements and provide tax support to other key stakeholders across our organization. The individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with other BSC professionals working in operations and finance, and will interface with external customers, consultants, and tax auditors. In addition to excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the position requires solid analytical skills, an attention to detail, strong system orientation, and the ability to define problems and issues independently while using a logical approach to develop and implement solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare Sales & Use, Excise, and Personal Property Tax Returns, Business Licenses, Annual Reports, and coordinate payments, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Maintain the taxability of new and existing customers, obtaining appropriate tax-exempt certification where necessary.
- Respond to tax notices, researching and communicating with state and local agencies towards resolution.
- Provide support on indirect tax audits, fulfilling information requests, and working with external auditors as needed.
- Serve as a principal contact for Indirect Tax customer inquiries, approving tax credits, preparing state tax refund requests, and obtaining letter rulings from state tax authorities as necessary.
- Support merger/acquisition projects, analyzing the impacts on Indirect Tax, and collaborating with project teams to implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on tax law changes that may impact the business and overall indirect reporting.
- Evaluate and improve indirect tax processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar degree
- 2+ years of sales and use tax related experience
- Proficiency in research tools such as RIA, Bloomberg, and ATR
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong financial accounting background with the ability to analyze and interpret adjustments posted to the general ledger or other specific accounts
Preferred Qualifications:
- MST, MBA, CPA
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion
- Demonstrated experience with state and local indirect tax planning
- Experience in Vertex/Quantum software
- Experience in med-tech Industry

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
