About the role:
The Sr. Commercial Program Manager is an exciting role that plays an integral part in connecting cross-functional stakeholders and leading strategic commercial initiatives for the global WATCHMAN division.
This specific role will require a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and strategic thinking, with a focus on imaging and AI product integration and development.
Work Mode
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a Hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Maple Grove, MN office at least 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
Project Delivery and Management:

- Lead the execution of key projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Assemble and lead cross-functional teams, assigning roles and responsibilities, and fostering collaboration to ensure effective communication and team support.
- Manage assigned projects/enhancements and follow SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
- Create and maintain project plans, manage staff tasks, and provide detailed progress reports.
- Chair and coordinate stakeholder meetings and ensure project objectives align with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and variances to ensure projects remain on track; creating and maintaining project plans, tracking progress against timelines and budgets, and identifying potential risks or issues.
- Develop communication materials for diverse audiences, including business and IT leadership
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software project by defining project goals, scope, and objectives, creating a detailed project plan that includes identifying tasks, setting timelines, and determining resource requirements.
- Ability to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, monitoring risks throughout the project and implementing contingency plans when necessary to minimize disruptions
System Analysis for Enhancements/New Systems:

- Facilitate workshops to analyze data, and document business processes and workflows.
- Gather, refine, and prioritize complex business requirements into a clear backlog.
- Create deliverables such as scope documents and functional specifications using SDLC methodologies.
Acquisition Responsibilities:

- Identify teams and responsibilities needed for digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead the procurement process, including issuing RFPs, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Manage relationships with vendors and ensure they meet project requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Monitor vendor performance and manage contract renewals and terminations as needed.
Change Management:

- Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new digital solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate employees on new technologies and processes.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and communication to address concerns and build support for digital transformation initiatives.
Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including IT, business, and external partners.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the resources and training needed to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and learning.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
-
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or a related field a plus
- Project management certifications (PMP and/or Agile) are a plus
Experience:
-
- 5-7 years relevant experience; medical device industry and/or PMO experience preferred
- 3+ year’s experience managing software development projects
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with software development life cycle methodologies and project management tools
- Proven experience in managing software development projects, including experience with project estimation techniques
- Proven experience in managing digital transformation projects
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in business
