About the role:
The Renal Denervation (RDN) Global Franchise Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that propel BSC to category leadership in the treatment of resistant hypertension (HTN). This high-impact leader will collaborate extensively with divisional functions (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Sales, Finance, etc), the global regions, and healthcare professionals to architect and implement strategies that enable broad patient access to safe and effective RDN therapy. In addition to cross-functional business leadership, the Director of Global RDN Franchise will also have direct responsibility for the RDN marketing function.
The position reports to VP, Structural Heart Valves (SHV) and Interventional Heart Failure (IHF).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic and operational business leadership for the global RDN franchise
- Lead annual strategic and operating plan process, including setting financial targets and development of strategies to achieve those targets
- Evaluate, prioritize, and recommend investments that will drive profitable growth
- Evaluate and prioritize market access opportunities globally. Maintain rigorous market and revenue models for all global regions.
- Develop global and regional integrated business plans supporting commercialization of RDN in target markets
- Collaborate closely with R&D to set vision for long-range product roadmap
- Guide development and execution of clinical evidence generation in close partnership with Clinicals and Scientific Affairs
- Partner with Health Economics and Market Access to shape coding, coverage, and reimbursement strategies
- Uncover market and competitive insights for the organization
- Directly manage the RDN marketing team
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with leading physicians in the field
- Be a visible leader with global sales teams, physicians, and other external stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years’ experience in complex commercial program management or team leadership in med technology, pharma or biotech
- Proven ability to set priorities and execute work in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial and customer-first mindset, track record in working across multiple geographic regions
- Strong business acumen, fact-based decision making, and ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and associated business opportunities.
- Executive presence and ability to influence across multiple levels
- Ability to assess a complex external landscape, to evaluate the internal strengths & weaknesses of an organization and then develop a strategy which considers all of these factors.
- Travel up to 40% domestically and globally
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree such as Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Global marketing and product launch experience
Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Maple Grove, MN office at least three days per week.
