Sr. Operational Excellence Planner, Supply Chain

About the Role:

 

At Boston Scientific, the Sr. Operational Excellence Planner, Supply Chain is responsible for executing on small scale projects that surface from various supply chain business units. Successful project outcomes will require supply chain functional experience and focused project planning and execution to drive outcomes. Additionally, this individual will provide backup support for Divisional demand planning when team members are out of office for extended periods of time. The demand and inventory planning activities are required to meet customer needs, marketing requirements, and meet service level objectives. They will possess the skills and aptitude required to plan a product line and provide cross functional supply chain support, as necessary. They will demonstrate resilience and adaptability as new situations will require strategic project leadership and swift action to overcome challenges.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Project Management: Participates in the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines, within budget and by following organized and repeatable procedures. Acts as a liaison with project stakeholders and effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path items while ensuring project quality. Participates in project postmortems and communicates lessons learned to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Demand Planning/Scheduling: Review statistically generated forecasts with GSCM and Marketing - Revise as necessary; Review replenishment targets and approve changes noting input elements resulting in change; Work with Marketing/customers to identify all known demand sources (scheduling agreements, distributor shipment, consignment, etc.).
  • New Product Launch Management: Assist Supply Chain PDP Core Team Member; Assist with the development of forecasts, cannibalization plans, introduction schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Contribute to the development of inventory plans; Establish inventory targets; Monitor inventory performance to plan and targets; Assist GSCM with management of expired, excess and obsolescence reserves; Allocate inventory to regions in short supply situations.
  • Supply Chain Execution - Support daily/weekly/monthly planning processes: Maintain forecasts (Marketing Handshake); Manage net requirements; Monitor manufacturing execution (Manufacturing Handshake); Provide inventory analysis; Proactively manage backorders.
  • Support S&OP Process
  • Achieve Core 5 Performance Metrics: Service Level; Backorder; Inventory; Forecast Accuracy; Schedule Adherence.


What We’re Looking For:


Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 6+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning, materials management, manufacturing planning or inventory control function
  • Working experience with DRP, MPS, MRP, SAP or ERP System
  • Strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Consistently performs to a high level of accuracy and with a high attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking skills and able to make efficient decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and with business stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Medical Devices experience
  • Working experience with Kinaxis/Rapid Response & SAP

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements.
