About the role:
The Principal Cloud Architect for the Cardiac Diagnostics, Inc. group will be responsible for designing, defining and implementing system requirements for complex customer systems and/or preparing studies and analyzing existing systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain Azure Architecture, considering scalability, performance, security and cost-effectiveness
- Lead Azure migration and disaster recovery planning, including assessing existing infrastructure, developing migration and DR strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including IaaS (Virtual Machines, and Storage), SaaS and PaaS (Service Bus, Redis, and Entra)
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize Azure spending
- Ensure adherence to Azure security best practices and compliance standards
- Designs, defines, implements system requirements, system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters by using current systems engineering methods and technologies.
- Documents system requirements by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
- Tracks system engineering effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
- Solves system problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
- Conducts special studies on subjects such as improving systems engineering practices, improving system quality, subsystem partitioning, etc. by researching and analyzing options for implementation.
- Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.
- Directs support personnel and project activities.
- Mentors engineers in software engineering activities/methodologies and domain knowledge.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in building processes related cloud services.
- Proven experience in leading complex system analysis from concept through commercialization.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving.
- Strong proficiency in creating and improving system and product requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including problem resolution.
Preferred qualifications:
- MS/PhD in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in a formal Systems Engineering role.
- Experience in the Medical Device industry, focusing on design controls, user needs, intended use, system requirements, system design, and traceability.
- Experience with risk management, including identifying effective risk controls.
- Experience in human factors engineering, usability, or ergonomic design.
- Experience specifying and supporting cybersecurity design principles.
- Proven project leadership experience, leading teams on high-visibility/high-priority new technology ventures.
