About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Global Process Owner (GPO) for our Invoice-to-Cash (ITC) function, responsible for leading the transformation and optimization of our service delivery teams. This Associate Director-level role is pivotal in driving the standardization of processes across People, Process, and Technology to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within our Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.
The Global Process Owner, Invoice-to-Cash, is a key strategic leadership role that will advance Boston Scientific’s Invoice-to-Cash vision, focusing on three key outcomes: optimal customer service, operational excellence, and value creation. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of leadership acumen, process optimization expertise, and a deep understanding of AR functions. They will be responsible for developing and implementing standardized processes, leveraging technology solutions, and managing cross-regional team members to achieve operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive the strategic vision, roadmap, and design of the Invoice-to-Cash end-to-end process, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Own the Invoice-to-Cash process and collaborate with other Global Process Owners (GPOs) to advance the broader Customer-to-Cash process.
- Advocate for the transformation of the Invoice-to-Cash process and technologies by leveraging benchmarks and best-in-class practices.
- Enhance efficiency and effectiveness by aligning global process and technology standards.
- Align and influence the organization to support the end-to-end Invoice-to-Cash process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, influence their involvement, and ensure alignment with service level agreements.
- Educate and support global operations and service delivery teams to advance process knowledge and adherence.
- Ensure clear and transparent understanding of the Invoice-to-Cash process while adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Recommend, influence, and lead change management strategies to secure leadership sponsorship and customer adoption where necessary.
- Prioritize projects, make decisions on project teams and governance, approve requirements, and take on project lead roles as needed to ensure successful delivery.
- Assess, prioritize, and manage process and technical improvements, determining the most effective delivery strategy, whether immediate action or a project-based approach.
- Promote a culture of end-to-end process excellence, service excellence, and continuous value improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with a demonstrated track record in process optimization and standardization.
- 5+ years of experience in people leadership, with a focus on inspiring and developing team members to achieve their full potential and support organizational objectives.
- Proven ability to think strategically and set and manage a strategic agenda within a global company.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to gain organizational alignment and drive initiatives in a global environment.
- Expertise in continuous improvement and Lean methodologies, with experience in delivering value propositions using these approaches.
- In-depth knowledge of global service delivery operations and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving innovation and best practices in Invoice-to-Cash and the End-to-End Customer-to-Cash processes within a large multinational company.
- Proven experience in project and product management, as well as system implementation, with 5+ years of leadership in these areas. Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English necessary for effective business communication.

- Advanced degree and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
